Urban Gardens

Community Gardens and
Learning Spaces
We establish Indigenous-led gardens and natural tending spaces where people can reconnect with ancestral foods and medicines, practice traditional harvesting, and revitalize land-based knowledge systems.

Native Plant Cultivation and Reestablishment
We grow, propagate, and plant traditional food and medicine species using Indigenous horticultural practices. Our restoration projects prioritize species that are nutritionally, culturally, and ecologically significant.

Seed Sovereignty and Indigenous Seed Banking
LINKS supports the collection, protection, and sharing of heirloom seeds and wild seed stock, ensuring that Indigenous communities maintain sovereignty over their food sources and genetic heritage.
Cultural Workshops and
Hands-On Learning
Through workshops, plant walks, cooking classes, and webinar sessions, we create opportunities for people to learn about California native plants, some modern preparation methods, plant care techniques, and sustainable ethics in using native plants for wellness. We facilitate gatherings where elders share wisdom with youth, strengthening cultural continuity and grounding new generations in the knowledge of their ancestors and community.
